Stop Food Waste Day 2025
We all waste food sometimes.
The good news is there’s a big appetite to change that. According to recent EPA research, 81% of people are willing to make small changes to reduce the food we waste the most – bread, fruit and veg, and leftovers.
And the even better news is we all have the power to do something about it!
March 1st is National Stop Food Waste Day and to celebrate we’re putting the power to stop food waste (and save up to €700!) back in your pocket!
Discover how you can make simple changes day-to-day to reduce food waste in our handy Stop Food Waste Pocket Guide!
Whether you’re cooking for one or feeding the whole family, there are small changes you can make in how you plan, shop, store and cook food that can help you save time, money and even help save the planet. This might include small, manageable changes like doing a ‘quick check’ of food you have at home before shopping, making a plan to use leftovers to make sure they don’t go to waste, or using a shopping list to buy only necessary items.
Each small change can make a big difference to cut your food waste and your food bill. Globally, a quarter of all food produced is wasted each year and it could be costing you up to €700!
Our Pocket Guide will help you make simple changes to plan like a pro, prepare for the shopping battleground, and make things easy freezy so you can reduce your food waste at home.
It takes less than 10 minutes to read our Stop Food Waste Pocket Guide to know everything you need to get started. So, pop the kettle on and download your Stop Food Waste Pocket Guide to get started!
