Cork County Council invite you to an upcoming event “Reuse Republic”, which will take place in the foyer of Cork County Hall on Thursday 24th October.
The event, “Reuse Republic” will be an exhibition of reuse themed projects and businesses operating in the reuse sector. This year will include demonstrations, a swap shop and other reuse themed attractions. The event coincides with Reuse Month (October) which aims to inspire and provide the skills and tools to reuse more at home, at work and at play.
Donal of the EPA Stop Food Waste programme will be on hand to answer your questions on food waste and compost. Plus, Lilly Higgins will be hosting a workshop.
“I’m delighted to be hosting a cookery demonstration at this year’s Reuse Republic as part of Reuse Month with Cork County Council,” says Lilly Higgins. “It’s a free event where the public will get loads of new ideas, recipes and tips on how to cut down on food waste, reduce the amount of plastic in their kitchen, meal plan and shop to save money and the environment! I’ll be sharing lots of gorgeous recipes and ideas for how to make your cooking as eco-friendly and delicious as possible.”
