Choose your change to Stop Food Waste in 2025
Did you know that the average Irish household throws out 120kg of food each year, a significant amount of which is still suitable for consumption?
Nobody likes wasting food, especially when the cost is considered – the average Irish household could save around €700 a year by avoiding food waste.
Eating, shopping and cooking food is central to our daily lives. The ways we manage our food better to avoid food waste can also help us to feel more organised day-to-day. Changing daily habits around eating, shopping and cooking will change your approach to food management.
So, what if you could make one small change or adopt one new habit in your home to reduce your food waste? Even small changes can have a big impact when it comes to cumulative climate action, and it could help you save money and feel more organised.
If you’re ready to make #StopFoodWaste your New Year’s Resolution for 2025, we have good food management habits to help you make a small change with a big impact.
