Green beans / French beans
Unlike most of the other beans, the French beans are eaten with their pods. The beans you buy must be firm enough to snap into half easily.
You can keep your beans for a week in the fridge. For longer storage, you can either freeze or can them.
Boil your beans for a few minutes in water, plunge them into ice water and pack them into containers before putting them in the freezer.
6 to 8 months.
Green beans can be eaten in many ways: raw, fried, steamed, baked…They make a perfect vegetable side to any dish, but you can also eat them raw as a snack or mix them into a warming soup.
