Iveragh Learning Landscapes is a weekend of talks, workshops and guided outdoor experiences encompassing local natural and built heritage, outdoor education, land stewardship and well-being.
Based in the beautiful Iveragh peninsula between the villages of Waterville and Caherdaniel, workshops will take place both indoors and outdoors in various venues in some of the most spectacular locations in the area, including Derrynane National Park and Lough Currane in Waterville.
Workshop topics range from coastal habitats, composting and reducing food waste, designing spaces for biodiversity, herbal medicine, guided art classes, ocean literacy and how to use the outdoors as an educational tool. Donal O’ Leary will present a talk on food waste and home composting on Saturday October 6th from 10am – 12pm.
